Photos will be made available soon of these winners. We encourage all memebers to be active in their local show circuits to earn points. This year's winners receieved embroidered jackets courtesy of the APPR with embroider work completed by TheStitchin Post.
History of the APPR
The American Paint Pony Registry was formed in 1972 to promote, register and maintain the records on stock-type paint-colored ponies. The popularity of the American Paint Horse, coupled with the appeal of the intermediate-size western ponies, was instrumental in establishing the registry.
Many Paint Ponies carry Paint or Quarter Horse bloodlines: however, any quality pony, standing 12 to 14.2 hands or for the Pee Wee division under 48 inches, with recognizable white body color, is eligible. The size, conformation and quiet disposition of Paint Ponies make them ideal for youth. Today Paint Ponies can be seen in the show ring, on the trail and as family friends.
To date there are registered American Paint Ponies in the United States, Canada and Europe!
